Gladstone Hotel's Hard Twist 9 Exhibition Review

A few weeks ago I visited the Gladstone Hotel to check out the Hard Twist 9 - Fibre Optics exhibit. This interesting textile exhibition examined the partnership of textiles and technology on how textiles and computer technology connect and touch each other.

Now in its ninth edition, Hard Twist is an annual juried textile art show held at the Gladstone Hotel. Every Hard Twist event, a new theme is chosen. This is Personal was the theme for Hard Twist 8. It showcased "works exploring the nuances, complexities, and politics of that which is individual, private, and intimate."

I always enjoy visiting the Gladstone Hotel's art exhibits. It's so cool how the exhibits are displayed among guest rooms. Hard Twist 9 - Fibre Optics was an interesting display of textile art, where some of the artists have pushed the boundaries of textiles. Hard Twist 9 - Fibre Optics is running until December 28, 2014.
