Tips on Planning a Niagara Falls Trip & Bachelorlette Party

Last month was my sister's Bachelorette party. Since I'm her Maid of Honour, I had the distinct (dis)pleasure of planning and organizing the event (just joking Sange!) My sister, who lives in Thunder Bay, wanted to go to Niagara Falls on an overnight trip, so I had to plan the whole day and night's activities for 4 ladies, who live across the province. After a lot of planning and researching, the weekend went off without a hitch and it wasn't that expensive. I bought discounted tickets online and booked events ahead of time which made the weekend a lot less stressful.


If you are planning a weekend visit to Niagara Falls, for an event or just to get away, I have some tips for you that will make the weekend more enjoyable and cost a lot less.

Event: Doors Wide Open in Toronto!

The weekend before last was one of my favourite events in Toronto: Doors Open Toronto! I love this event. It's a fabulous opportunity to not only visit companies and buildings not usually open to the public, but to learn a little history about this great city. Unlike previous years, I took part both Saturday and Sunday (which my body felt on Monday), and visited about 10 different sites. It would take up too much time to list all that I learned and saw but here are my highlights from the weekend:

Style: Hiking In Style!


Heya! I can't believe Canada Day long weekend has come and gone! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. As for me, I went up to Thunder Bay to visit my sister. Thunder Bay is a beautiful place and since my sister is quite an outdoors woman, she took me hiking. I wasn't quite sure how to dress for the woods, my wardrobe screams "hard core city dweller" and I don't even own a pair of running shoes! But being the fashion savvy gal that I am I came up with this:
