I recently visited the CHILL Ice House for a private event for Uniikii Inc. Located just south of King Street on Bathurst Street, it may look like an ordinary bar on the outside but inside CHILL Ice House is a winter ice wonderland.

Complimentary Hooded Capes
The bar consists of three rooms. The first room is reception, where guests can receive a hooded parka and gloves. There is also an Ice Lounge and a warm speakeasy in the back. The Ice Lounge is kept at a chilly -5C at all times and is carved from approximately 185, 000 pounds of crystal clear ice. The walls, seats, bar, tables, DJ booth, and even the glasses are made from ice. There are also a few ice sculptures throughout the lounge.

Ice Cocktail Glass
I can only spend about 10 minutes in the ice lounge, but I warm up in the speakeasy, which I love. The speakeasy gives off a comfortable wood cabin feel and has a very chic vibe.

Nic and Gresham Bayley, the two brothers behind The CHILL Ice house, have been building ice lounges for years across the globe, with family-owned Iceculture Inc. Now they bring their talent back home to build Canada's first and only permanent ice house. CHILL Ice House is open and family friendly during the days (closed Mondays and Tuesdays) but only open to the 19+ crowd after 8pm (except when booked for private functions). Admission for adults is $20, but prices are cheaper for kids, seniors, and students. Please visit CHILL Ice House for more information.

Chillin' in the Ice Lounge
I enjoyed my time at CHILL Ice House. It was such a cool experience (pun intended) and I will be returning again!

 P.s!: Not only is CHILL Ice House Canada's first and only ice house but it is the world's largest ice lounge! Enjoy!
