Exhibit: Coffee, Beer & Mosh Pits at The Toronto Public Library!

Last week I braved the cold to visit visit an interesting exhibit at The Toronto Public Library. Yes, you read that right, The Library. The exhibition, Coffee, Beer + Mosh Pits, chronicles the evolution of The Toronto music scene from the 1960s until present day.

Located within The TD Gallery, the exhibit displays vintage concert posters, photographs of local artists and venues, and film footage. Large and small placards, throughout the exhibit, explain a bit of history and background of several artists, places, and events. As well, different genres of music are pumped through the gallery's speakers, reacquainting me to some old beloved songs and introducing some classic Canadian artists.

I thoroughly enjoyed this trip down memory lane as well as the chance to learn more about Toronto. I would highly recommend this exhibit to anyone who enjoys music, or has a passion for Toronto and history, or who just has an hour to spare. It was well worth the trip.
