eShakti Dress Review

Ever wanted a stylish customized dress but didn't want to pay the steep price? Me too! That's why I was so excited when a few months ago, I was approached by eShakti to review their ordering process and one their dresses.

eShakti is an online fashion company based in India, that offers customizable clothing from size 0 to 36. They specailize in customizing the fit and style of a garment.

Since I was getting the dress for free, my choices were limited. By the site does offer a wide variety of dresses, skirts, tops, and more in a variety of styles and colours, that all can be customized for size and style. The ordering process was actually very simple. After choosing the Floral Applique Lace Dress, I was taken to a page where I was able to customize my dress.

First I was asked to choose my size. I either could choose the standard sizes on the size chart or input my own measurements on the custom size chart. I then inputted my height and was able to change the sleeve and skirt length, if I desired. I loved that I was asked for my height! Alot of times, when I try on dresses that I want to buy, they turn into long tops, because of my height. I can't count how many times I had to wear leggings under 'dresses' because they were not made for women taller than 5.7"! The charge would've been $7.50 if I changed the sleeve length or skirt length, but I loved the lengths and kept them as is.

Removing the pockets or the floral applique was other customizable options available free of charge. But I love pockets on a dress, and I was intrigued as to how the floral design would look, so I kept both.

The shipping was quick; I received my dress in less than 2 weeks! But just be aware of the shipping and custom charges when ordering. If you decide to return your item, some of these charges cannot be refunded. But the charges are quite reasonable for a customized dress.

I tried on my dress and it fit wonderfully! The length was exactly what I wanted, the material wasn't flimsy, and the dress was well constructed. At first I wasn't sure if I liked the velvet floral applique, but it has grown on me. I do love the pockets and see through detail of the bodice. I felt the waist was a little plain, so I added a sash belt that I own. I paired this dress with a pair of platform heels, but it will also look fabulous with some booties or ballet flats. The dress is so pretty and will be perfect for any upcoming holiday parties!

Overall my experience with ordering eShakti was a pleasant one. I love all the options to customize, especially for someone my height! And the dress is so pretty and fit perfectly!
