Beauty: Long + Strong Nails from Trind!

Trind Natural Nail Care Moist + Shiny Kit Review

You don't know, but I am a self-professed Nail Polish Fanatic. I own over 100 different coloured polishes and I love trying out new nail care products like the Sally Hensen Gel Polish Kit or new polish finishes. A few months ago I was sent Trind Natural Nail Care's Moist and Shiny Kit, Acetone Free Nail Polish Remover, and Professional Glass File, to try out for 6 weeks. I was supposed to follow the directions and report on how my nails changed (or didn't change).

The Moist and Shiny Kit includes a 3 way Nail Magic Buffer, Nail Balsam, and Nail Repair Natural. After removing all polish, I used the Nail Magic Buffer in 3 steps. First I used the half black side to remove the top layer of my nail. Then I used the white half to buff my nails and help promote their natural moisture. I finished off with using the long grey side to evenly distribute nail moisture, and remove fine ridges and imperfections. 

I am supposed to use the Nail Magic Buffer once every 4 weeks. After using the Nail Magic Buffer, I then applied a generous amount of the Nail Balsam to every fingernail. I left in on for 2 minutes and then massaged it into my nails and cuticles. I only used this every 2 weeks. Immediately after the Nail Balsam, I applied the Nail Repair Natural. I used this daily for the first 2 weeks, took a week off, and then daily for another 2 weeks. I applied the Nail Repair only weekly afterwards. I then followed with one of my many nail polish colours. I also used the Professional Glass file, whenever I need to touch up my nails.

For the first few weeks I noticed quite a difference! My nails became stronger and were less prone to breakage, and my cuticles were starting to look much healthier. But halfway through the trial period, the long cold winter and the loss of my job pushed me over the edge and I started the awful nervous habit of biting my nails, especially on my right hand. All the fabulous work Trind Nails had done for me went out the window.

I got out of the habit of biting my nails, and over a month ago, I started the trial all over again and followed the same procedure as before. And I love the final result! My nails are so long and strong! You can't even tell that I used to bite them. Also, I haven't broken a nail in over a month and my nail polish applies easier and smoother. I would highly recommend these products for anyone who has concerns with their nails, or who just wants to keep their nails healthy and beautiful. None of the products had a strong scent and the Nail Balsam was oil free and not greasy. I also love that the Professional Glass file is designed to last a life time and comes in its own durable case. As well, the nail polish remover was gentle on my nails and did not dry them out.

P.s!: For nail biters, Trind Nail Care sells Nail Repair Anti-Bite - a nail strengthener with an a nasty, bitter taste. Wish I knew about this product before.
