My Style: Smart Set Denim Street Style!

With summer fading into fall, stores have been stocking some fabulous denim pieces, which are perfect for almost any occasion. I love denim, as you can probably tell from some of my past My Style posts. I was recently in Smart Set and fell in love with these great fitting dark blue denim skinny jeans, that I will be able to style with so many pieces from my closet.

Not only do these Smart Set jeans fit so well, but I love the interesting stitching detail on the upper thigh. I also thought these jeans were black when I first bought them, but when I saw them in natural light, I could tell that they are actually a really, really dark blue, which is unlike any other pair of jeans I own.

And even though Smart Set considers them a low-rise jean, I wouldn't. I own jeans that have a much lower rise, and are comfortable wearing these to work and bending over without showing my coworkers a little too much.

I paired these jeans with a graphic tee and a shirt from Smart Set. I love mixing up patterns to create an interesting and dramatic look, like I did with the flowered graphic t-shirt and the plaid long sleeved shirt. Both pieces are so comfortable and I will be able to style them with so many other pieces in my wardrobe. I own a lot of graphic t-shirts - they are so much fun - and long sleeved shirts are a great alternative to a sweater when the days and nights start to get cool. I've gotten some really fabulous fashion pieces from Smart Set before, and I always like dropping into this store to see what else I can add to my closet.

To complete this look, I added a pair of Walmart heels and an Urban Outfitters purse, both which I got on clearance! And finally a few of my favourite bracelets and a necklace from Shop For Jayu. I love this outfit; it looks so casual and chic, perfect for a relaxing lunch at a cafe or meeting up with friends.
