Happening Weekend: October's White Night!

Toronto Weekend Events Listing for October 2 - 4, 2015

It's the first weekend of October and the first one that has some really cool weather (if today is any indication). But don't let the weather stop you from the plenty of amazing events happening in Toronto like one of my all-time favourites -  Nuit Blanche (this will be my seventh year attending). So grab a tuque and a scarf and get out there.

Here are my top picks for events and happenings in Toronto this weekend!:

Lifestyle:
Just For Laughs ends Saturday, so if you need a pick-me-up after a long work week, this just might be the event for you.

Love decorating? Then The Fall Home Show is where you belong. With over 250 exhibitors and guest speakers, The Fall Home show will keep you on top of what's trending in home decor and runs until Sunday.

Exhibits & Culture:
The highly anticipated Magna Carta: Law, Liberty & Legacy opens at Fort York. Don't miss your chance to view this historic document dubbed as "Democracy's Birth Certificate".

The 10th installment of Nuit Blanche begins at sunset on Saturday and ends at sunrise on Sunday. This is one of my favourite annual Toronto events that features over 60 contemporary art projects (plus many renegade projects). Read about my Nuit Blanch night last year to find out more and don't forget to try and find my picture at Nathan Phillips Square, apart of the Inside Out Project installation.

Food & Drink:
Oktoberfest is still going strong at The Amsterdam Brewhaus both Friday and Saturday. Enjoy all the German food fare and live music your heart desires.

The World Poutine Eating Championship happens at Yonge-Dundas Square. There will also be free poutine served from 10am - 4pm!

Shopping:
The Really Really Free Market takes place this Saturday. Drop off your unwanted items and take home some hidden gems (at least to you) for free. Seriously. For free.

Canada's largest vintage clothing show, The Toronto Vintage Clothing Show happens this Saturday and Sunday down at The Queen Elizabeth Building at Exhibition Place. And taking place under the same roof, The Toronto Antique and Vintage Show is happening as well! Be still your vintage-loving heart!

P.s,
Melanie!
