Event: WMC Fashion Week: Subdued Beauty + Stunning Gowns!

Two weeks ago, it was that time again! That magical time of WorldMastercard FashionWeek in Toronto. Bloggers come out from behind their computers, designers emerge from their sewing machines, buyers and writers swap their sensible loafers for sky high stilettos. It's a wonderful time of year when the fashion elite mixes with the street style mavens of the general public! It's almost as fun as Halloween!

Event: All Night At Toronto's Giant Museum!

Nuit Blanche Art Event Recap

Last Saturday, the city of Toronto turned into an all night art museum, free to the public from sunset to sundown. This yearly event, called Nuit Blanche, is one of the reason's I love this city. I've been participating in Nuit Blanche since 2007, the year I moved back to Toronto. And I have enjoyed this event every year since.

Event: Fall In Love With Danier!

Heya! Last week I attended the Danier Leather Fall Fashion Show at Cube Nightclub's Katwalk event. It was a fun night filled with cocktails, meeting new people, great music, and of course Danier Leather Fashions! The show was hosted by Toronto's own Fashion Blogger, the Style Mogul, and the fashions were modeled by other Toronto Fashion Bloggers and writers. You can see pictures from the night here or visit my facebook page.

Exhibit: Photos That Changed!

Heya! I recently came across a photography exhibit that really took me by surprise. The exhibit is called Picture Change and is produced by PhotoSensitive. It took me over an hour to take in the startling, amazing, gut wrenching, tear producing, and smile inducing photographs that came from over 100 of Canada's best photojournalists.

Theatre: Wickedly Beautiful!

Heya! A few weeks ago I was walking along The Path and came upon a wonderful sight!: The fabulous Wicked Witch costume and the ruby slippers that are being used in The Mirvish Theatre's production of The Wizard of Oz. They were on display for a short time at The Richmond-Adelaide Centre. If this is an example of the costumes used, I think I will have to go see the show. Although the mini exhibit is gone from the Richmond-Adelaide Centre, you can still experience the play, costumes and all, until August 18th at the Ed Mirvish Theatre. Event: New Ring, Necklace And Nails...Oh My!

Last Saturday, I arrived at The Shop for Jayu fresh collection launch popup sale, with one rule: Must only buy 1 item. Well of course that rule went out the window the moment I stepped through the doors at The Gladstone Hotel. I was welcomed right away and left to browse the beautiful displays of silver, gold, brass, and coloured jewels. I was a little surprised at the prices: Shop for Jayu advertises their designs for $60 or less, and there were several pieces that were more than $60. But they were still great prices for beautiful pieces and were less than $100!

Event: My New Summer Fling!

Teacup used to display Jewelry
On Thursday night I went to a private shopping party, accompanied by my always fabulously dressed friend, Scotty (boom botty :). The party was celebrating the 4th anniversary of the clothing store, The Coal Miner's Daughter and was co hosted by online fashion blogger The Dainty Girl. I have never been in this store and didn't really know what to expect but, Wow, I am now a new fan of The Coal Miner's Daughter!
