Toronto Event Listings for May 8 - May 10, 2015There is always so many fun and unique events happening in Toronto every weekend! For me, most weekends are busier than the weekdays. They are jam packed full of To-do lists, fun meetings, and events I just need to attend.
From burgers to vintage, there is something for everyone to enjoy this Mother's Day weekend. Here is a list of some of the best happenings in the city this weekend!
Exhibits & Culture
This Saturday is the closing celebration of Jean-Michel Basquiat: Now's The Time exhibit. The AGO is staying open until 10pm for this all ages event with a DJ, performances, and a cash bar. Sunday will be the last day to visit the exhibition.
Scotiabank Contact Photography Festival is in full swing so get out there and visit some of the amazing free exhibits happening across the city!
The Cherry Blossoms have begun to bloom in High Park. Take advantage of the nice weather and go see them before they are gone.
Food & Drink
Frans is turning 75 and to celebrate the front street restaurant is selling 25cent burgers!
Get the party started on Friday May 8 with the North American Craft Beer Festival. This event runs from 6pm - 11pm.
The Toronto Reference Library is hosting Toronto's biggest comic book festival - TCAF!
Parkdale Flea Market is on Sunday. Take advantage of the sunshine and grab mom and head over to Parkdale to browse among the vintage and collectible stalls while enjoying some food on the go!
The Gladstone Flea begins this Sunday. One Sunday a month during the summer, Gladstone partners with a fashion and/or lifestyle expert to curate and handpick vendors to create a unique shopping experience. This Sunday's experts are Casie Stewart and April Wozny.
Candian Music Week ends this weekend. There are some fabulous shows happening to help end the festival on a high note.
P.s!: This Sunday is also Mother's Day so if you are looking for a place to just relax and enjoy the sun with Mom, grab a picnic lunch and enjoy the fabulous art at Canoe Landing Park or stroll the beautiful grounds of Allan Gardens!
